Kim's Cupcakes

After a long and tiring week at school, I was pleasantly surprised to find a dozen of cupcakes waiting for me in my fridge!

Kim has been a good friend of mine since the 6th grade. we went through high school together and even traveled together out of town a couple of times. My first trip on a plane without my family was with this girl. Anyway, Kim has been making cupcakes even since she was in high school. Through college, she would bake batches and batches to sell for fundraising events. Now that she's out of college, she has fully grown into the business.

I remember that heart so well! One good thing about being in school with someone is that you get to see their handwriting! I love looking at people's handwriting because it says so much about them.

The first box of cupcakes. Top Row L-R: Lemon, Mocha, Mint Chocolate.
Bottom Row L-R: Vanilla, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream.

The second box. Top Row L-R: Red Velvet, Tiramisu, Cookie Dough.
Bottom Row L-R: Chocolate Ganache and two Peanut Butters.

And now we talk about my three favorite Cupcakes by Kim!

Cookie dough! This was the first one that my sister and I attacked. I love quirky cupcake flavors because if they're the usual ones (chocolate, red verlvet, zzzzz hehe) I already have my favorites for those flavors and they're very, very hard to beat. If you have a contender for me though, please send it over! Hehe.

Anyway, the cookie dough! It was SO GOOD, my sister and I both agreed that if beat Cupcakes by Sonja by FAR! The whole cupcake was filled with cookie dough, as you can see. So much creamy, yummy goodness!

The second one was Chocolate Ganache. My sister enjoyed it a lot, and it was a nice change from the regular chocolate cupcake. I don't know if Kim makes a different kind of chocolate, but this one had a fudgy topping, and crunchy gold sprinkles. The cupcake was nice and moist. I noticed though that all of Kim's cupcakes are better at room temperature. I usually have my cupcakes chilled and I like most of them with the icing firm and packed, but Kim's are better at room temperature.

And lastly, the tiramisu cupcake! The icing is a soft cream, much like the stuff in between the layers of a tiramisu. It's a nice twist. It definitely doesn't have the exact same texture, but it's super cute that this is a cupcake version of the classic Italian dessert.

SOOOO GOOD! Marbled chocolate inside the cake, and a coffee-chocolate topping. I would definitely order these for a dinner party!

Very happy girl here with my red velvet cupcake!

Like my earrings, by the way? They're by Hissbliss Fashion :D Super cute studs that I've been looking for everywhere!
