After a super short 3-hour flight to Singapore with a fun 2-hour layover at the Changi airport, then a fast and comfortable 7-hour flight both by Singapore Airlines, I'm finally here in Sydney, Australia!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_vRxaxzrjs/UV3viKTzTtI/AAAAAAAADho/E7yEYn8z3p4/s1600/DSC01682+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R_vRxaxzrjs/UV3viKTzTtI/AAAAAAAADho/E7yEYn8z3p4/s1600/DSC01682+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Me and my empty flight from Singapore to Sydney. Philippine Airlines does straight flights from Manila, but Sg Air was about 100 dollars cheaper. I also didn't mind the layover in Changi because I got to window shop, my favorite activity! There was also wifi at the airport so I was BBMing, Vibering and Facebooking my friends the whole time. Oh, Instagramming and Snapchatting too! YES, I talk to all my friends on those apps and even more! Haha.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-67OB2MIu6lQ/UV3vibL55sI/AAAAAAAADhc/6jI8gSJ6QqI/s1600/DSC01680+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-67OB2MIu6lQ/UV3vibL55sI/AAAAAAAADhc/6jI8gSJ6QqI/s1600/DSC01680+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I was just so happy that the flight was this empty. The flight from Manila to Singapore was pretty full, but it was only 3 hours so after I read a few travel magazines, ate and dozed off a little, before I knew it we had landed. But this flight from Sing to Sydney was so good, it was from midnight to about 7 or 8am so I just slept the whole way, laid out in one whole row! I had the first snack which was a tuna sandwich, but I had it open faced. I decided not to eat the breakfast on the plane and slept the whole way up to when I absolutely had to sit up for landing instead.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is the view from my <i>Ninang's</i> apartment! <i>Ninang</i> is godmother in Filipino, by the way. I'm so lucky that she invited me to stay with her for 4 weeks! So far, I'm loving my stay and looking forward to all the fun (and food!) that I will be having. She's a chef so she cooks really well and has a very good palate. Anyway, she has a nice cozy 1-bedroom apartment overlooking the garden in her complex. I think that this is a really good choice for her because she told me that the view makes her feel like she lives in a hotel and I agree! Her place is decorated very nicely and though the furniture came with the apartment, she added her own decor and it really gave the whole place her personal touch.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VLFLc70-h8c/UV3vih2Q3UI/AAAAAAAADhk/VLQFBWCO920/s1600/DSC01685+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VLFLc70-h8c/UV3vih2Q3UI/AAAAAAAADhk/VLQFBWCO920/s1600/DSC01685+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
After I had landed, settled down at her apartment and ate the lunch she cooked herself, I went with her to run some errands then we had dinner at Sushi Train, which is a Japanese restaurant near her house.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h2RuA9-j-rU/UV3vwY6pkRI/AAAAAAAADiU/DDtC4EAHXv4/s1600/DSC01691+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-h2RuA9-j-rU/UV3vwY6pkRI/AAAAAAAADiU/DDtC4EAHXv4/s1600/DSC01691+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Even though my parents don't approve of sushi going around in conveyor belts, I bet if any of us took them to a place like this they woud approve! According to Ninang who is a chef here, the law in Australia is that if cooked food isn't consumed (especially the raw ones like sushi), they must be thrown out. So all the food here was guaranteed to be fresh. This was a great option for us because we were so hungry and we didn't have to wait for our food to be cooked or worse, cook it ourselves. A great alternative to fast food!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k2Job19vBbo/UV3vmy092uI/AAAAAAAADh0/xTxG-DtUleI/s1600/DSC01686+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k2Job19vBbo/UV3vmy092uI/AAAAAAAADh0/xTxG-DtUleI/s1600/DSC01686+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The first thing we got was this seared salmon nigiri. I wanted to share this with my Ninang but then she said she wanted her own, so we got one each. But when I had my first bite of it, I was so happy that I had gotten my own because it was SO GOOD! This is seared salmon with a cheese and Japanese mayo topping, with ebiko. The rice is underneath. So good, I died! This is definitely my champion of that night.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tXgIa1aFTfI/UV3vpHAq82I/AAAAAAAADh8/WtduiwilTUI/s1600/DSC01687+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tXgIa1aFTfI/UV3vpHAq82I/AAAAAAAADh8/WtduiwilTUI/s1600/DSC01687+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
A roll that I had stupidly mistaken for maguro (tuna). It was good, but too much like the salad we ordered. This had sun-dried tomato, cheese and avocado in it. I asked for a fork and knife to cut out half of the rice that it was wrapped in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W3Y-XbC5xXs/UV3vrvdlchI/AAAAAAAADiE/pbCI2D9Zx9Y/s1600/DSC01689+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W3Y-XbC5xXs/UV3vrvdlchI/AAAAAAAADiE/pbCI2D9Zx9Y/s1600/DSC01689+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Gyoza which my Ninang liked a lot! It tasted like it really was made out of pork and nothing else. No fillers!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yJf93uSslL0/UV3vvecXGVI/AAAAAAAADiM/iyD-Yq-uNPk/s1600/DSC01690+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yJf93uSslL0/UV3vvecXGVI/AAAAAAAADiM/iyD-Yq-uNPk/s1600/DSC01690+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The garden salad which my Ninang ordered. She said that it was different from the last time she ate it, because they probably used the veggies in season at that time which are different from the ones available now. Those are carrots, avocado, green beans, onions, cucumber, lettuce and sun-dried tomatoes in a vinegar dressing. The dressing was very light and didn't fight with the taste of the sushi, which is what I bet the chef of the restaurant was trying to achieve. Well, he definitely succeeded!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-G_A8AjOTHdo/UV3vwGGZo2I/AAAAAAAADiY/QiGCx7_W-6o/s1600/DSC01688+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-G_A8AjOTHdo/UV3vwGGZo2I/AAAAAAAADiY/QiGCx7_W-6o/s1600/DSC01688+copy.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly, we shared two slices of roasted pork nigiri. I found this so cute because it's not really sushi, it's just a way for the restaurant to get their entrees on the train! The rice balls underneath were made out of the sticky Japanese rice and not the sushi rice. It was also slathered in teriyaki sauce. Yum!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So that's all for my first day in Sydney! I hope to have time to do this every day so that I remember my trip better and I can look back at this later on!</div>

Recently I appeared in Chalk Magazine to interview a famous architect. His name is Arch. John Joseph Javier and he is a very accomplished man. He is one of the founding professors of the School of Architecture in De la Salle-College of St. Benilde. Aside from what's written in the article, I was able to learn more about their highly progressing program and it sounds really good. I may want to teach there someday!<br />

Just a little post before I leave for Australia! I'll be going there for 4 weeks to be with my godmother who invited me to stay with her. So exciting! Before this opportunity came by, I was toying with the idea of going on a Contiki tour by myself, or to volunteer in Africa. This seems to be the right speed for me, with the right amount of freedom and yet still with a few relatives who can keep an eye on me. :)</div>

Two weekends before my actual graduation ceremony, I decided to throw a party with my closest friends and colleagues in architecture celebrating my graduating! I decided to graduate early and not late because the week after the ceremony was Holy Week, the weekend before was my sister's birthday weekend, so I decided to celebrate on March 9.</div>

LATE POST, SORRY<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You know your blog is late when your posts are two months late! This is a post that I'd beem meaning to share with all of you, but <a href="http://www.prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2013/02/my-thesis-eglise-de-saint-therese-de.html" target="_blank">my thesis</a> really gobbled up all of my time. Oh well, that's all over, and now I'm all yours ;)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Puw16FeXR2I/USnjf2Fd1cI/AAAAAAAADaY/WQrVjd_a2JY/s1600/P1070937.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Puw16FeXR2I/USnjf2Fd1cI/AAAAAAAADaY/WQrVjd_a2JY/s640/P1070937.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, last Christmas one of my aunts gave me these super cute nail stickers! So of course I dropped whatever I was doing to apply these. They were so cute! I'm going to do a half-tutorial since I already made one for these kinds of decals <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/09/kate-spade-nail-decals-with-tutorial.html" target="_blank">here.</a> </div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-olWUlq3xV7I/USnjeflLy9I/AAAAAAAADaQ/d2JQbN99aLQ/s1600/DSC01002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-olWUlq3xV7I/USnjeflLy9I/AAAAAAAADaQ/d2JQbN99aLQ/s640/DSC01002.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These decals are the type that you stick on with no water, so they last much longer than the other kind. I really liked these also because even though the instructions say to remove it like they're normal nail polish with remover and cotton, I just peeled them right out like they were stickers! I would only recommend doing this ONLY if you put a base coat and letting it dry before you applied the decals. Otherwise, some layers of your nails might stick to the decals as you peel them out!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nqcsTd9CMrU/USnjdgTsqFI/AAAAAAAADaI/KIWNOwLjSZU/s1600/DSC01005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nqcsTd9CMrU/USnjdgTsqFI/AAAAAAAADaI/KIWNOwLjSZU/s640/DSC01005.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Like <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/09/kate-spade-nail-decals-with-tutorial.html" target="_blank">the other tutorial,</a> just put the decals right out of your nail, and file the excess off with downward motion.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MZBaGZYSCbA/USnjfzkWx9I/AAAAAAAADac/YZKEDleNejw/s1600/DSC01006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="479" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MZBaGZYSCbA/USnjfzkWx9I/AAAAAAAADac/YZKEDleNejw/s640/DSC01006.jpg" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
I was able to use the pinky decal on both fingers again. Sadly, the other decals weren't good enought for two fingers :( I have about five decals left over from this pack, because I was able to use just one per nail and didn't waste any. I may use them next year on just one finger per hand. To be honest, I never got that trend of the one mismatched finger. I tried it once, but then got OC because it wasn't like the rest of my hand. Hehe!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7ktJRk_XuqI/USnjhkMOBWI/AAAAAAAADao/Iv7QKduuP9E/s1600/P1070947.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7ktJRk_XuqI/USnjhkMOBWI/AAAAAAAADao/Iv7QKduuP9E/s640/P1070947.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7ktJRk_XuqI/USnjhkMOBWI/AAAAAAAADao/Iv7QKduuP9E/s1600/P1070947.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The finished product, taken at home. Isn't it cute?! Sorry for the bad quality of my previous photos, I had to make do with the dim and yellow lighting at my <em>noche buena</em>. The food was TO DIE FOR though! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jJSc6yMyVLI/USnjhx48GWI/AAAAAAAADas/Am3ZAER4iko/s640/P1070941.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jJSc6yMyVLI/USnjhx48GWI/AAAAAAAADas/Am3ZAER4iko/s320/P1070941.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jJSc6yMyVLI/USnjhx48GWI/AAAAAAAADas/Am3ZAER4iko/s1600/P1070941.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a> </div>
<br />
And the other hand. Did you notice that my pinky fingers aren't the same? Small details that people don't really notice about their nails, I definitely do! I really care for my nails more than any other part of my body, true story. I'm so OC about them and I make sure they're always in perfect shape! If only we could have nail polish on forever, yeah?<br />
<br />
'Til the next post!<br />

I love Korean food! I think it might be one of my favorite cuisines. The funny thing is, I only got around to trying it for the first time when on my flight to New York, the food was bibimbap. My aunt and cousins highly recommended we get the bibimbap over whatever choice on the plane, and we did just that! Ever since, I've been graving for bibimbap regularly.</div>

I'm loyal to <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/10/bulgogi-brothers-greenbelt-5.html">Bulgogi Bros.</a> for bibimbap, but when I took my family there they didn't really enjoy the value for the food. :( they really like this place better, and I agree that for the price of the meat, you definitely get more. So for carnivores, this is where you should go!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VGSpY4_EHz4/USnQXFB5WII/AAAAAAAADYI/loAeXfKGB0A/s1600/P1070911.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VGSpY4_EHz4/USnQXFB5WII/AAAAAAAADYI/loAeXfKGB0A/s640/P1070911.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Nice, simple decorations with comfy seats. For yakiniku restaurants, I noticed that the booth-type configuration is most employed to ensure that everyone gets a chance to cook the food in the burner in the middle.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dyKl1Mvq2VY/USnQvfR_O4I/AAAAAAAADZI/UBqig1JSgeA/s1600/P1070913.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dyKl1Mvq2VY/USnQvfR_O4I/AAAAAAAADZI/UBqig1JSgeA/s640/P1070913.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Each place setting comes with a dehydrated towel, a cup of tea and the metal chopsticks with a spoon. So practical that in Korean restaurants, it's chopsticks and a spoon. Makes things so much easier to eat, especially when you're hungry! Haha.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rwYnuCepg1M/USnQZnPeMZI/AAAAAAAADYQ/bVCpEHyrQzY/s1600/P1070916.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rwYnuCepg1M/USnQZnPeMZI/AAAAAAAADYQ/bVCpEHyrQzY/s640/P1070916.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Like any other Korean place, when you order, you get a bunch of free side dishes. from left to right, then upwards: cold brean sprouts with mixed veggies, a scoop of sweet potato mash, kimchi bean sprouts, side salad, more mixed veggies, kimchi and crispy anchovies with chili.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5b8yrSee2qs/USnQbE43wXI/AAAAAAAADYY/ioKxTKCNmFQ/s1600/P1070919.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5b8yrSee2qs/USnQbE43wXI/AAAAAAAADYY/ioKxTKCNmFQ/s640/P1070919.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This was our Tohsisal (Php 395) that my mom ordered. She was wanting a meat dish that wasn't so marinated. The waiter suggested this to her and that's what it was. On the menu, it's described as "fresh USDA Choice short plate."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RxLAMcPlCAk/USnQcefMPzI/AAAAAAAADYg/T8nuUhgKkhM/s1600/P1070923.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RxLAMcPlCAk/USnQcefMPzI/AAAAAAAADYg/T8nuUhgKkhM/s640/P1070923.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Personally I don't like plain beef with no marination. I don't know many who do. But my mom was happy with her order and that's what she asked for, so that's what matters! If you're one hungry person, this plate should be enough for you.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iT1yfX7S2OY/USnQgbhKVxI/AAAAAAAADZA/pKa5JwneZc0/s1600/P1070929.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iT1yfX7S2OY/USnQgbhKVxI/AAAAAAAADZA/pKa5JwneZc0/s640/P1070929.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our Galbi! (Php 545) Im guessing this is a bestseller on their menu as it was first on the list of meats to be grilled on the table. There were really good and juicy! They're short ribs, much like the one in Bulgogi Bros. This can feed one to one and a half hungry people, or two normal people with rice. Hehe</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7TEJhS4gXrc/USnQetBY8oI/AAAAAAAADYw/qZnzQZwsZLg/s1600/P1070926.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7TEJhS4gXrc/USnQetBY8oI/AAAAAAAADYw/qZnzQZwsZLg/s640/P1070926.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And my favorite of them all: Dolsot Bibimbap! (380 Php) It comes with one cup of rice and assorted vegetables. We mixed in one extra rice (Php 60) so that it could feed the three of us well. I'm a little bit disappointed that Sariwon only has one kind of bibimbap on their menu, and it's not even with beef. :( There are actually 2 kinds of bibimbap on the menu, but it's exactly the same ingredients and the same dish in general, served in a different way. The other one just comes in a metal bowl. That's it! This was good, but just because it was bibimbap and because I love bibimbap. Meh.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-axIsMilkFLY/USnQezj-UhI/AAAAAAAADY0/nsbn35-NODI/s1600/P1070927.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-axIsMilkFLY/USnQezj-UhI/AAAAAAAADY0/nsbn35-NODI/s640/P1070927.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Haemul Pajeon (350 Php). I think my sister ordered this. This is described as a traditional Korean pancake with oysters, shrimp and squid. I don't eat ship and oysters but I took a chance, closed my eyes and took a bite from this pancake, and loved it! It was crunchy and made a good side dish along with the beef and bibimbap. :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TRb_qyOYr4A/USxmUE8j-FI/AAAAAAAADbU/fMd6sA2YIn8/s1600/P1070932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TRb_qyOYr4A/USxmUE8j-FI/AAAAAAAADbU/fMd6sA2YIn8/s640/P1070932.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For dessert, you get a complimentary cup of sikhye, which is a sweet drink with floating rice bits. It was good, and really cleared the palette. If you want another one, you'll have to pay Php 60. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So overall, Sariwon is a better value for money, but you really get what you pay for. Nonethe less, it's a really good family restaurant because portions are are just the right size for sharing, but small enough that you will be able to try out all the things you want to try.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Do you guys remember my <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/11/etude-house-juicy-cocktail-in-screw.html" target="_blank">post on Etude House Ombre nails?</a> Well, here's another one! I really like this one but my first time applying it did not go so well. But, I found a way to fix it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-olnHD0onaiU/USkIA5hJiZI/AAAAAAAADXk/Z2hSmZL9LCg/s1600/P1070902.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-olnHD0onaiU/USkIA5hJiZI/AAAAAAAADXk/Z2hSmZL9LCg/s640/P1070902.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
I went on a little obsession over ombre nails after I received the <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/11/etude-house-juicy-cocktail-in-screw.html" target="_blank">orange set</a>, and requested for two more sets of nail ombre polish from my secret santa last Christmas. I'm so hoppy with this color!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WrlA4jofJqA/USkG63e2zBI/AAAAAAAADWo/Gly1SwD41cM/s1600/P1070884.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WrlA4jofJqA/USkG63e2zBI/AAAAAAAADWo/Gly1SwD41cM/s640/P1070884.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
Like the other set, there are also three mini bottles of nail polish that need to be applied one after the other, from lightest to darkest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3zpSdA-jLSQ/USkG67jAy3I/AAAAAAAADWs/xdqmxLncfpQ/s1600/P1070886.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3zpSdA-jLSQ/USkG67jAy3I/AAAAAAAADWs/xdqmxLncfpQ/s640/P1070886.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started off with two thick coats in the base...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gns0-biuP0s/USkG7W8BBfI/AAAAAAAADWw/KbY_gnvNbbM/s1600/P1070889.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gns0-biuP0s/USkG7W8BBfI/AAAAAAAADWw/KbY_gnvNbbM/s640/P1070889.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I applied the a thin glitter coat up to 3/4 of the nail. <b>This was my mistake! </b> I should have known better, that only the tips would look good. :( Next time, I should put it at 1/2!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M7q0u71v0IE/USkG8eTCOKI/AAAAAAAADXA/kCYSJlaydYY/s1600/P1070890.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-M7q0u71v0IE/USkG8eTCOKI/AAAAAAAADXA/kCYSJlaydYY/s640/P1070890.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Then finally, the darkest coat at 1/2 of each nail. Hmm...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9kqi4wwEA8M/USkG8ojs58I/AAAAAAAADXE/8NRqlBrILOM/s1600/P1070894.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9kqi4wwEA8M/USkG8ojs58I/AAAAAAAADXE/8NRqlBrILOM/s640/P1070894.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Not much of a fan of this way. But I promise you, when I did it the second time around, with the 1/2 and 1/4 of the nails, it looked way better! But since I had this manicure on already, how to fix it?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H6cC015Be4I/USkG9TrnC0I/AAAAAAAADXQ/cLLKnOIBhA8/s1600/P1070899.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H6cC015Be4I/USkG9TrnC0I/AAAAAAAADXQ/cLLKnOIBhA8/s640/P1070899.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I decided to try some Japanese nail art! This is called a FIMO stick, where a design is produced in sticks, and the stick needs to be cut into little flakes to be stuck on the nail while the polish is still tacky.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vUxsR5llpwk/USkIAjeVM3I/AAAAAAAADXg/4E7vpuM35FY/s1600/P1070900.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vUxsR5llpwk/USkIAjeVM3I/AAAAAAAADXg/4E7vpuM35FY/s640/P1070900.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I pressed the FIMO pieces on the nail, right where the darkest color ended. It just added the oomph that I needed! These nails are for a fun event or just for every day when you are in a bubbly, girly and/or kiddy mood. They make a great conversation piece; a lot of people who saw my nails when I did this couldn't help but ask me how I made this! Little did they know that it was so easy to make, practically anyone can make this style.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jUfpRYQM420/USkG904CWdI/AAAAAAAADXY/eIUn8TMk0s4/s1600/P1070906.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jUfpRYQM420/USkG904CWdI/AAAAAAAADXY/eIUn8TMk0s4/s640/P1070906.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Do you like my FIMO stick? <a href="https://www.facebook.com/kikaystorebeautiful" target="_blank">Kikay Online Store</a> generously gave it to me along with other products that I may be featuring in the future. She has a lot of unique products like nail caviar, sequins and other nail art things! She also gave me some nail dotting tools which I will definitely use in the future, when I actually decide to start drawing on my nails. Did I mention that these FIMO sticks are crazy cheap with her? Php 4 per stick! Grab them while you can!</div>

Wow, I can't believe it's been 2 months since my last entry! I'm so sorry I left all of you, my readers, hanging in the air but I was busy closing the biggest and most important chapter of my college life: my thesis!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>

<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A very nervous me waiting for my jury to fix up before presenting. I had come an hour and a half early to practice my presentation, make sure everything was ready and all! See that pink bottle in the middle? I brought two liters of fluids to drink that morning: one filled with cold honey tea and another with water. That was the second liter, filled with water. Hehe<br />
<br />
AND just so all of you know how hard architecture is: for thesis, you need to make a book (far right, maroon) full of all the research you have done on your project. All the reasons to why you designed your thesis that way should be there: from statistics to standards to even the actual land documents, even though the thesis itself will not be built. Then you need a logbook (spiral-bound, to the left of my research book) with all the consultation sheets that you completed with your adviser. Those three big spiral-bound booklets are my actual design solutions, which include the photos I will show you below plus other things. I had to print out three copies of that, one for each juror. And finally, you have an oral presentation to be done with a Powerpoint.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8kZ5gzm5xw/USekHbfkgSI/AAAAAAAADU0/6jnm2XBoqgA/s1600/DSC01368.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8kZ5gzm5xw/USekHbfkgSI/AAAAAAAADU0/6jnm2XBoqgA/s640/DSC01368.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A special shoutout to my friend Jane Lim for being with me that morning and the night before! I'm so glad she slept over and stayed with me the whole time because I was so nervous and I really needed someone to be there for me. She helped me fix my PowerPoint presentation, pick out my clothes AND even did my french twist updo that morning. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now onto the actual thesis! Have you noticed that Bonifacio Global City, in all its developments does not have a church yet? Well, I decided to provide them with a church. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o6JGWs4UqyM/USekBPMBuaI/AAAAAAAADUk/STuNozcOlLk/s1600/CONCEPTUAL+ANALYSIS.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o6JGWs4UqyM/USekBPMBuaI/AAAAAAAADUk/STuNozcOlLk/s640/CONCEPTUAL+ANALYSIS.jpg" width="578" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My concept for the church structure is The Creation of Adam by Michaelangelo. From my research, less than 1/3 of the people who go to mass on Sundays or holy days of obligation go to daily mass. So to avoid the wasted space taking up all the airconditioning and energy, I decided to have an enclosed church with an amphitheater that people can hear mass on days when more seating is needed. The enclosed church can seat up to 550 people, and the amphitheater can seat 880 people and hear mass from there. The enclosed space symbolizes God, with the cantilevered roof as if He is reaching out to man, and the amphitheater symbolizes man just taking in all of His graces.</div>
<div>

<br />
This is my aerial view of the whole structure! I have a function building to the left, which aside from galleries and function halls has the catechism school, the retreat facilities and a chapel. The annex in the middle is the parish office, and to the right is the Church Building of course.<br />
<br />

My church building main worship areas are on the first floor, and all the meeting rooms, as well as the Priests' residences are on the first floor.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Of course I couldn't resist, I made a wedding scenario during the day of my church interiors. My concept for my interiors is the Gospel of Jesus being Fisher of Man, so the coffered ceiling is like a net of Jesus which he has cast upon His followers, calling us to come back to Him and remember what is important.</div>

And the birthday haul is not yet over! I'm so glad that my birthday comes almost a month before Christmas, because all the holiday sets come out!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kqsvbdEJdN0/UNXnYaGso2I/AAAAAAAADOs/c2JEohsSHSA/s1600/P1070403+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kqsvbdEJdN0/UNXnYaGso2I/AAAAAAAADOs/c2JEohsSHSA/s640/P1070403+copy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a>My mom's aunt gave her money to shop for a birthday gift for me, and most of the time she really knows best! She came home with two different brush sets to choose from, and I chose the pink one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--6OUjOZRYsY/UNXpjfUcoVI/AAAAAAAADPU/ZZxjWkMSHaY/s1600/mac-glamour-daze-brush-sets.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--6OUjOZRYsY/UNXpjfUcoVI/AAAAAAAADPU/ZZxjWkMSHaY/s640/mac-glamour-daze-brush-sets.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The first one at the top is the mineral brush set (the other one my mom brought home), the green one is the advanced and the pink one is the classic. I chose the pink one over the orange because of course I prefer pink! But I also did my research and I didn't need the mineral brush set at that time. Of course, now that I have a classic brush set, I need a mineral brush set... (hint hint) but maybe I'll get some soon! We never know, Christmas is just around the corner. ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1UVjMrfrOXQ/UNXplnAiaQI/AAAAAAAADPc/Nz-VD6AYd-E/s1600/MAC-GDaze-Pink-Brush-Set.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="490" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1UVjMrfrOXQ/UNXplnAiaQI/AAAAAAAADPc/Nz-VD6AYd-E/s640/MAC-GDaze-Pink-Brush-Set.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here are the brushes included in the Classic brush set (L-R):</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<ul>
<li>#167SE Blush/Powder Brush</li>
<li>#168 Fashion Large Angled Contour Brush</li>
<li>#239 Fashion Eye Shader Brush</li>
<li>#217 Fashion Blending Brush</li>
<li>#212 Professional Flat Definer Brush</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DdH-i8XX-LA/UNXneXDETOI/AAAAAAAADO0/inenRtFz2jk/s1600/P1070404.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DdH-i8XX-LA/UNXneXDETOI/AAAAAAAADO0/inenRtFz2jk/s640/P1070404.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here they are, my very own set! These are even before I used them. There are the same brushes in the opposite order, the list above but from R-L. My favorite and most used brushes are the Contour Brush (2nd from right) and the Flat Definer Brush (leftmost). I don't really use the blush brush because I have a favorite one that I use from Sephora which I will blog about soon, and sometimes I use the Contour Brush for it. As for the eyeshadow brushes, I feel that I have eyes that are too small for them hehe, I can't control the powders so well! But I use the Flat Definer Brush all the time for my eyebrows.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kJpoWiDqbio/UNXnkrpIG5I/AAAAAAAADO8/UAgWYvpq_FY/s1600/P1070406.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kJpoWiDqbio/UNXnkrpIG5I/AAAAAAAADO8/UAgWYvpq_FY/s640/P1070406.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall I feel that at 50 USD, they are do hold excellent value for money and even though the handles are shorter than regular sized brushes, I do prefer these more! They're pink, and they're cute! I may buy the other sets now that I blogged about this one. We'll see!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Christmas is fast approaching, and recently my family has been receiving a lot of presents! I love Christmas because it's the time of the year when everyone accepts that we're all going to pig out until we're stuffed silly! This year, I got a little nostalgic because our family received a can of Assumption Tarts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qjJJJwb9aag/UMYvatDPwbI/AAAAAAAADJ8/Kf6rlb2v6G4/s1600/P1070775.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qjJJJwb9aag/UMYvatDPwbI/AAAAAAAADJ8/Kf6rlb2v6G4/s640/P1070775.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
Oh, my alma mater! I've been an Assumption girl all the way since my grade school days. Everything I am, I owe to Assumption. You may say that I should be more thankful to my parents, but it's like I'm saying the same thing because I'm 3rd generation Assumptionista! My grandmother learned what she knows from Assumption, as well as my mother.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zcIM969J7z4/UNWDAKXpt_I/AAAAAAAADOQ/7qak5fGFUps/s1600/P1050848.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zcIM969J7z4/UNWDAKXpt_I/AAAAAAAADOQ/7qak5fGFUps/s640/P1050848.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Me and my two best friends from our class reunion this year. Every year I host a reunion in my house, around the day of the Assumption of Mary, which is August 15. I encourage everyone to come in Anything red, black and white, or even our uniform! I made sure to bring out my ID witha ll my nametags from my classes and varsity tags, and I even put on makeup like how I used to back in the day! Legit!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U48M3AoRyVs/UMYu0bVIizI/AAAAAAAADJ0/9Oztw2Dc_T8/s1600/P1070774.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U48M3AoRyVs/UMYu0bVIizI/AAAAAAAADJ0/9Oztw2Dc_T8/s640/P1070774.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So this is the can of Assumption tarts. It has a picture of a hand-drawn nun in front, and the classic Assumption plaid in the sides. I got so excited when I saw this because I really remember munching on this even when I was a child! I was 5 years old when I entered Assumption. :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BjmvEypa8iI/UMYve6yxjGI/AAAAAAAADKM/qlYn0gPkyAA/s1600/P1070779.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BjmvEypa8iI/UMYve6yxjGI/AAAAAAAADKM/qlYn0gPkyAA/s640/P1070779.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A box of 4 batches of tarts, with 6 slices each tart. so you get 24 triangles in this can. It also comes with two plastic containers of guava jelly, so you can spread them on to the tarts. I do know a nun in the retreat house of Assumption Baguio who makes jams, but I'm not sure if she's the one who makes all the jams for these cans of Assumption tarts because they're mass-produced now.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-39Am8SBciVI/UMYvcimJEFI/AAAAAAAADKE/22GTukntMPE/s1600/P1070777.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-39Am8SBciVI/UMYvcimJEFI/AAAAAAAADKE/22GTukntMPE/s640/P1070777.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Yum yum buttery tarts with guava jelly on top! I really enjoyed these at the moment that I took these pictures, and I'm having some for sure after I finish this entry! I'm not sure if I like them because they genuinely taste really good, or because they remind me so much of my Assumption days. But I know a lot of people who aren't from Assumption who would kill to have some of these, so they must be really good!<br />
<br />
'Til the next post!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_iZKLM60d-w/ULD5j0fsxBI/AAAAAAAAC-k/Sr2Sf3lCNjk/s1600/sign.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_iZKLM60d-w/ULD5j0fsxBI/AAAAAAAAC-k/Sr2Sf3lCNjk/s1600/sign.jpeg" /></a></div>
<br />
One tin can is available for P450 at the Assumption San Lorenzo Information Desk near the Chapel. For large orders you can call 817 5470 and look for the EMMAUS Community (the nuns' residence).<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Last week, my Tita Tinette joined a hair show as a Hair Ambassador for Tresemme's Fashion's Finest 2012. It was a fashion show and formal 4-course dinner after.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xRqpjsw-kuY/UM1b4lFI8aI/AAAAAAAADMU/MFC98uogCOM/s1600/DSC00692.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xRqpjsw-kuY/UM1b4lFI8aI/AAAAAAAADMU/MFC98uogCOM/s640/DSC00692.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Upon entering, this was what they had instead of a photo wall. Guests had to stand and pose in front of the sign before entering. No, those aren't tea lights on the floor! They're little LED battery-powered "candles" that even flickered like real ones. Isn't that so cool?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jLZC3EKGE4E/UM1b513lr1I/AAAAAAAADMY/EfrnuWBP3VA/s1600/DSC00696.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jLZC3EKGE4E/UM1b513lr1I/AAAAAAAADMY/EfrnuWBP3VA/s640/DSC00696.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Pass-around risotto balls while waiting for the curtains to open. The food was all care of Cibo di M, so everything was so good!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FYSjBlz80kk/UM1b6yNOpPI/AAAAAAAADMk/cjemFdIoUrs/s1600/DSC00700.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FYSjBlz80kk/UM1b6yNOpPI/AAAAAAAADMk/cjemFdIoUrs/s640/DSC00700.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
At each cocktail table there was flat bread with a cheese spread. This was good too, not as filling as the risotto balls though.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o8WVIittjY0/UM1b8Cj1z8I/AAAAAAAADMs/JBetZOmT7-c/s1600/DSC00704.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-o8WVIittjY0/UM1b8Cj1z8I/AAAAAAAADMs/JBetZOmT7-c/s640/DSC00704.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And the curtains finally opened and we had to look for our places at the table! We each had our own places complete with name cards! The last time I had gone to a dinner with a name card before this might have been a debut, but I really only remember having them last at my graduation ball in my high school! So it was nice to have a place setting which was personalized just for me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-97zzncYoyK4/UM1b9X4T-6I/AAAAAAAADM0/5_PM6QdeYRA/s1600/DSC00729.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-97zzncYoyK4/UM1b9X4T-6I/AAAAAAAADM0/5_PM6QdeYRA/s640/DSC00729.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is a sneak peek of the fashion show! There were 4 designers who presented at the event, each styled by the three Tresemme Aficionados: JC Buendia, Jun Escario, Francis Libiran, and Cary Santiago. My Tita Tinette was one of the hair and makeup stylists for this night.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lc_5U9avFuU/UM1hnJtuajI/AAAAAAAADN0/JLUJYpEI7OI/s1600/DSC00713.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lc_5U9avFuU/UM1hnJtuajI/AAAAAAAADN0/JLUJYpEI7OI/s640/DSC00713.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The Tresemme Team posing for the camera. L-R Tinette Ozamiz-Puyat, Victor Ortega, Jing Monis, all stylists, Raymond Gutierres, the Creative Vistuoso, Kelly Misa, Backstage Onlooker and Liz Uy, Style Arbiter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4VZGjJ1io3A/UM1b_5eJ8dI/AAAAAAAADNE/-kBP4lEFRc4/s1600/DSC00745.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4VZGjJ1io3A/UM1b_5eJ8dI/AAAAAAAADNE/-kBP4lEFRc4/s640/DSC00745.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And now we go on to the food! The first course was a Parmigiano Reggiano Buddino. The whole thing was cheese! It was good but so rich. Good thing it was a small serving or else I wouldn't have been able to finish it. The cream sauce was also made out of cheese, the block was a soft type of cheese and the topper was a crisp cheese. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oC-3mmczRUo/UM1b-iFZrFI/AAAAAAAADM4/NU5Y7vnODcQ/s1600/DSC00740.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oC-3mmczRUo/UM1b-iFZrFI/AAAAAAAADM4/NU5Y7vnODcQ/s640/DSC00740.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The second course, I got allergic with my first bite! This was an Open Raviolo with Seafood Ragu. I was hoping it wouldn't have any shrimp or lobster in it but sadly that mostly what was in it. It was good, but one bite and my mouth immediately began to itch. I ate the pasta on top of it (since it was an open ravioli, it didn't have any under) and it was alright.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vOirZeRI3Co/UM1cA82Pf0I/AAAAAAAADNM/xvJCbzhWeis/s1600/DSC00749.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vOirZeRI3Co/UM1cA82Pf0I/AAAAAAAADNM/xvJCbzhWeis/s640/DSC00749.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I immediately regretted even picking at my second course because the third course was to die for! I had a hard time finishing it. Braised angus short ribs with a wine sauce and little potato mash profiteroles. The beef was so soft and the fast was marbled in. So good and rich!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IEujQi1ytf0/UM1cB_VZtYI/AAAAAAAADNQ/3uEqnSqfBqM/s1600/DSC00755.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IEujQi1ytf0/UM1cB_VZtYI/AAAAAAAADNQ/3uEqnSqfBqM/s640/DSC00755.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The last course I didn't enjoy so much. Crepe Mille-Feuille, with mixed berries and cream as well as truffle honey. I have had a wonderful crepe cake many times in my life (it's my favorite!) so this one fell short of my expectations. Plus, I didn't like the way there was truffle in a dessert, so that put me off from the first bite. Sad to say I wasn't happy with both the flavor and texture of this course.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L4GtAhWfwo0/UM1cCwUOgEI/AAAAAAAADNc/CV4Eh9PG-dM/s1600/DSC00760.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L4GtAhWfwo0/UM1cCwUOgEI/AAAAAAAADNc/CV4Eh9PG-dM/s640/DSC00760.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Happy family with Tita Tinette. Love you and thanks for taking us, T! <3 p="p"><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had been looking for a plum shade ever since I saw Leighton Meester's look on Gossip Girl with pink eyes and plum lips. As you all probably know by now, my favorite color is pink! So since I saw that she could pull off the look of an all-pink face, I have accepted the challenge to do the same. Haha!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wva4_TLZwfc/UMYrj0dAsZI/AAAAAAAADIw/rhmeclfrHz0/s1600/P1070524.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wva4_TLZwfc/UMYrj0dAsZI/AAAAAAAADIw/rhmeclfrHz0/s640/P1070524.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
I looked everywhere for a nice plum, but I didn't really like the way I looked with it. I have darker hair and I feel that I look too gothic/strong with a deep purple. This was the most that I settled for. Maybelline had a cute shade of deep pink, like a raspberry. Even though it is greatly marked up at 399 Php compared to if I had gotten it in the US, for me it's worth it because here in the Philippines we have testers that we are allowed to try. So I was sold after running all over the makeup section of SM! Haha.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XIcHgfsFdzo/UMhsGlHfb2I/AAAAAAAADLw/LXNN-AL73Ns/s1600/P1070814.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XIcHgfsFdzo/UMhsGlHfb2I/AAAAAAAADLw/LXNN-AL73Ns/s640/P1070814.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The plastic label comes off and you're left with a pink plastic cap with holographic stripes on it. Pretty cute, but not the classiest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kfMn4wdZu2s/UMhsH2C_CbI/AAAAAAAADL0/nWGKctxD5Z0/s1600/P1070816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kfMn4wdZu2s/UMhsH2C_CbI/AAAAAAAADL0/nWGKctxD5Z0/s640/P1070816.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And here are the swatches. The first one is drawn with a light hand, and the second one is drawn a few of times over each other because I was so surprised that the change in color was so little when applied in one layer as opposed for 3 or 4! So this color is highly pigmented, glides on really well and evenly too. Not bad for a drugstore brand! Well Maybelline has been around for as long as I remember, so they definitely know what they're doing.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rtSYY07lGV0/UMYro13KUEI/AAAAAAAADJI/4THEKQNQiAE/s1600/P1070710.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rtSYY07lGV0/UMYro13KUEI/AAAAAAAADJI/4THEKQNQiAE/s640/P1070710.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Me with the color! This was my makeup for the Tresseme Hair Show, which I will blog about soon. I'm so behind with all my entries! I've been up and about despite my busy schedule and I can't wait to show you everything that I have been up to. I did a variation of the <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/12/maquillage-professionnel-holiday.html" target="_blank">Avant Garde look</a> that I learned in my makeup class, this time with 3 shades of grey from my Naked 2 Palette.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MuZrFER3ld8/UMYrnGQG-nI/AAAAAAAADJA/9dIgq0heTRg/s1600/P1070706.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MuZrFER3ld8/UMYrnGQG-nI/AAAAAAAADJA/9dIgq0heTRg/s640/P1070706.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also used my highlighter powder from my Too Faced Leopard Love palette to give me that dewy look. I love how my teeth look so white because of my lip color! I have falsies on to give my lashes an extra push too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mx9NsELjJso/UMYrqVlS28I/AAAAAAAADJQ/R-yux7L7sGQ/s1600/P1070711.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mx9NsELjJso/UMYrqVlS28I/AAAAAAAADJQ/R-yux7L7sGQ/s640/P1070711.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Overall a good color; it stays on for relatively long until you eat something. I prefer the glidy lipsticks over matte sometimes, because when they come off, I like to wipe it all off then apply it all over again. With matte lipstick, sometimes it becomes hard to remove, and in effect when you reapply, some areas will be darker than the other.<br />

Are you feeling the Christmas spirit? I definitely am! :) The other night, I dragged my family to watch the light and sounds show of the Ayala Triangle Gardens.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Isn't it so pretty? Part of why I wanted to see it was because Zenas Pineda won the design competition for the Christmas decorating of the whole Ayala! Zenas is the one who designed my debut, as well as our house for the Christmas decorations.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Every thirty minutes, the center of the Ayala Triangle Gardens lights up and becomes a little Wonderland. I felt like I was inside a huge float of the Disneyland Parade! It's a different experience, being enveloped by so many lights.</div>
<div>

As you can see, it was crowded, but a comfortable crowd. I didn't mind being among many people because we still had our personal space and they didn't ruin our photos or anything. This is me and my Ninang T posing after the show. The lights stay on for a good tem minutes after each show so that people can admire them and take photos with them. A good 15 minutes well-spent, I enjoyed every minute of it!</div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="text-align: left;">Last month, my friend Leya came home from the States and brought this home for me! This is the Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Kinetic Copper.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vBrFRMQwjo0/UMQY2ATyLaI/AAAAAAAADG0/jAUK4aNq6b8/s1600/P1070470.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vBrFRMQwjo0/UMQY2ATyLaI/AAAAAAAADG0/jAUK4aNq6b8/s640/P1070470.JPG" width="478" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div>
This is a new trend in the nail world. Can you believe how many colors are available for nail polish now?! I swear just a few years ago we were limited to pinks, reds and earth tones! Now look at the different easy nail art options open to us.</div>
<div>
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_4XHUH1sP-w/UMQY3fkjTkI/AAAAAAAADG8/79AW8dbpVg8/s1600/P1070471.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_4XHUH1sP-w/UMQY3fkjTkI/AAAAAAAADG8/79AW8dbpVg8/s640/P1070471.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br />
The pretty design on the cap in the previous picture doesn't stay on for long, though. It's just a wrapper that reveals the boring black cap with little waves etched on. The outer cap comes off because the magnet is on top of it, which is what gives nails the wavy texture that I will show in the next photos.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_V024V_r45g/UMQY4VlPhfI/AAAAAAAADHE/3olVHaB1fUo/s1600/P1070477.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_V024V_r45g/UMQY4VlPhfI/AAAAAAAADHE/3olVHaB1fUo/s640/P1070477.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And here it is! I followed the demo video of Sally Hansen <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHwKzmoH6a0" target="_blank">here,</a> but here is a written step-by-step:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>After putting a base coat, shake the bottle and paint a first coat.</li>
<li>While the first coat is still tacky, apply the second coat.</li>
<li>Immediately put the magnet over your nail, but be careful not to touch the polish. I messed up a few times on this step! Hehe.</li>
<li>Sway the magnet side to side to ensure that it covers the whole nail, and makes the wavy pattern.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6VNNdCxv_bs/UMQY7ict5HI/AAAAAAAADHU/Z7UZhOxwwew/s1600/P1070483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6VNNdCxv_bs/UMQY7ict5HI/AAAAAAAADHU/Z7UZhOxwwew/s640/P1070483.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And there we have it! I must say that it looks a lot better in pictures. I just used one coat of nail polish on this one because I felt the color was opaque enough already and didn't need a second coating. It's pretty interesting on how the design is made. From the name (obviously), while the polish is still wet, the magnet is put over the nails and the little particles come together to make the ripple design.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GxJt1I4VtmI/UMQY8tS2uCI/AAAAAAAADHc/XjcjnyKx9D4/s1600/P1070484.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GxJt1I4VtmI/UMQY8tS2uCI/AAAAAAAADHc/XjcjnyKx9D4/s640/P1070484.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm not too fond of this style, and my friend who got it for me also said that there were a lot on the racks. So I guess I'm not the only one! I find it a little odd really, the design. I don't know if it's just because I live in a tropical country where I see a lot of vibrant-colored insects, but this nail color reminds me of one and when I brought it up with my friends, they agreed too. I'm not going to name the insect, but if you can guess it then I won't deny it!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pjdOMBjpBSM/UMQY6IvgliI/AAAAAAAADHM/NNHZRsx1exc/s1600/P1070482.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pjdOMBjpBSM/UMQY6IvgliI/AAAAAAAADHM/NNHZRsx1exc/s640/P1070482.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wore this nail color out with my ringlet from Hermanas Online Shop. Quirky finds by my friend Arya, check her stuff out!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After a long and tiring week at school, I was pleasantly surprised to find a dozen of cupcakes waiting for me in my fridge!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Z_jyo_MiFvc/ULocst1wp5I/AAAAAAAADFI/S8wLcveqMI0/s1600/P1070571.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Z_jyo_MiFvc/ULocst1wp5I/AAAAAAAADFI/S8wLcveqMI0/s640/P1070571.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: left;">
Kim has been a good friend of mine since the 6th grade. we went through high school together and even traveled together out of town a couple of times. My first trip on a plane without my family was with this girl. Anyway, Kim has been making cupcakes even since she was in high school. Through college, she would bake batches and batches to sell for fundraising events. Now that she's out of college, she has fully grown into the business.</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dltbVOuWXRg/ULocoPtCUvI/AAAAAAAADFA/H-qmRO_AIWA/s1600/P1070569.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dltbVOuWXRg/ULocoPtCUvI/AAAAAAAADFA/H-qmRO_AIWA/s640/P1070569.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I remember that heart so well! One good thing about being in school with someone is that you get to see their handwriting! I love looking at people's handwriting because it says so much about them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q1YR95Uk54s/ULocJLLUquI/AAAAAAAADEM/xQYwVHtGalI/s1600/P1070540.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q1YR95Uk54s/ULocJLLUquI/AAAAAAAADEM/xQYwVHtGalI/s640/P1070540.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The first box of cupcakes. Top Row L-R: Lemon, Mocha, Mint Chocolate.<br />
Bottom Row L-R: Vanilla, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yRKFeMKxPuQ/ULocRqJZNZI/AAAAAAAADEU/wVdKGbGwTDg/s1600/P1070542.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yRKFeMKxPuQ/ULocRqJZNZI/AAAAAAAADEU/wVdKGbGwTDg/s640/P1070542.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The second box. Top Row L-R: Red Velvet, Tiramisu, Cookie Dough.<br />
Bottom Row L-R: Chocolate Ganache and two Peanut Butters.<br />
<br />
And now we talk about my three favorite Cupcakes by Kim!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IHLpzDz03m8/ULocVyaqAbI/AAAAAAAADEc/kEny_qgWjMQ/s1600/P1070543.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IHLpzDz03m8/ULocVyaqAbI/AAAAAAAADEc/kEny_qgWjMQ/s640/P1070543.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Cookie dough! This was the first one that my sister and I attacked. I love quirky cupcake flavors because if they're the usual ones (chocolate, red verlvet, zzzzz hehe) I already have my favorites for those flavors and they're very, very hard to beat. If you have a contender for me though, please send it over! Hehe.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CgysDWY8a20/ULocZSCGCLI/AAAAAAAADEk/SFAi4PnaBeA/s1600/P1070545.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CgysDWY8a20/ULocZSCGCLI/AAAAAAAADEk/SFAi4PnaBeA/s640/P1070545.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Anyway, the cookie dough! It was SO GOOD, my sister and I both agreed that if beat Cupcakes by Sonja by FAR! The whole cupcake was filled with cookie dough, as you can see. So much creamy, yummy goodness!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5BNmCo0HZ5Q/UMKwRVhhMiI/AAAAAAAADGQ/DYZo7Aa17ss/s1600/P1070579.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5BNmCo0HZ5Q/UMKwRVhhMiI/AAAAAAAADGQ/DYZo7Aa17ss/s640/P1070579.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The second one was Chocolate Ganache. My sister enjoyed it a lot, and it was a nice change from the regular chocolate cupcake. I don't know if Kim makes a different kind of chocolate, but this one had a fudgy topping, and crunchy gold sprinkles. The cupcake was nice and moist. I noticed though that all of Kim's cupcakes are better at room temperature. I usually have my cupcakes chilled and I like most of them with the icing firm and packed, but Kim's are better at room temperature.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cwsLdGwY_pA/UMKwUgXe6kI/AAAAAAAADGY/8trRSE7qU0Q/s1600/P1070581.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cwsLdGwY_pA/UMKwUgXe6kI/AAAAAAAADGY/8trRSE7qU0Q/s640/P1070581.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And lastly, the tiramisu cupcake! The icing is a soft cream, much like the stuff in between the layers of a tiramisu. It's a nice twist. It definitely doesn't have the exact same texture, but it's super cute that this is a cupcake version of the classic Italian dessert.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fGri2giw-H4/UMKwYKL5raI/AAAAAAAADGg/co26FD9FbMw/s1600/P1070582.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fGri2giw-H4/UMKwYKL5raI/AAAAAAAADGg/co26FD9FbMw/s640/P1070582.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
SOOOO GOOD! Marbled chocolate inside the cake, and a coffee-chocolate topping. I would definitely order these for a dinner party!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4E315ETAO-o/ULoclInzW9I/AAAAAAAADE4/DttaqwZG16s/s1600/P1070567.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4E315ETAO-o/ULoclInzW9I/AAAAAAAADE4/DttaqwZG16s/s640/P1070567.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />

Liempo with Mang Tomas and Atchara. I looovee Liempo, but only if served family style because I eat so much, I don't eat the fat bits so I make a lot of leftovers. :( It was really good and tasty! I could have eaten this only with rice and it would have made me happy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MP9HH7ktH8Q/UKNTODrwGVI/AAAAAAAACoo/tip0wfO3J78/s1600/P1070042.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MP9HH7ktH8Q/UKNTODrwGVI/AAAAAAAACoo/tip0wfO3J78/s640/P1070042.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Kinilaw with Liempo on top. Kinilaw is fermented raw fish with a vinegar blend. So good! I only started eating kinilaw about a year ago, on my first visit to Palawan. My cousins said that there's a Spanish version of this called Ceviche. I don't know if we got this dish from when the Spaniards came here, but I don't think so because it has its own name. But isn't it funny that somewhere across the globe, we have exactly the same dish, only a different fish but prepared the same way?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TQ14Cjbx51A/UKNTPkgXYtI/AAAAAAAACow/LMCJwfxdMPU/s1600/P1070043.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TQ14Cjbx51A/UKNTPkgXYtI/AAAAAAAACow/LMCJwfxdMPU/s640/P1070043.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Lumpia with veggies inside. Yum! This is another one of my favorites. I prefer vegetable lumpia to meat any day.I also love a good lumpiang ubod. Anyway, this one was filled with togue (bean sprouts), carrots and another small green one.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J4jrQJ6QG6w/UKNTRvRVvEI/AAAAAAAACo4/1jSsj3kkCbE/s1600/P1070044.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J4jrQJ6QG6w/UKNTRvRVvEI/AAAAAAAACo4/1jSsj3kkCbE/s640/P1070044.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Pancit Kawayan. This is their specialty. They order the noodles from some special place in the province. Reminded me a lot of the flat noodles in Pad Thai. Those are chicken and pork bits in the noodles, as well as hard boiled eggs and various vegetables like carrots and cabbage.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QuHMGGzhNDo/UKNTTRScKFI/AAAAAAAACpA/hgn8Fds7uC0/s1600/P1070045.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QuHMGGzhNDo/UKNTTRScKFI/AAAAAAAACpA/hgn8Fds7uC0/s640/P1070045.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Classinc Lumpiang Shanghai. Can't go wrong! This is filled with pork. We have this in the house all the time so I didn't really touch it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_op9-GkaGik/UKNTVBUOveI/AAAAAAAACpI/WXeO9YgijJw/s1600/P1070046.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_op9-GkaGik/UKNTVBUOveI/AAAAAAAACpI/WXeO9YgijJw/s640/P1070046.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And another classic: Adobong Manok. Can't go wrong with this again. :) The first thing that my mom asks a cook who wants to apply to us is, "can you cook adobo?" It's so easy, everyone should be able to make it!<br />
<br />
There's always so much food at Kawayan, which is not always a good thing because we don't want to be bloated at the beach! Hehe, but happy tummies are always better.<br />
<br />
'Til the next post!<br />

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the third day, we learned a super exciting way to doll up the eyes. Avant Garde with False eyelashes!</div>
<br />

<div>
<a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: left;">
This is the finished product. My instructor, Miss Yuki taught me how to contour my nose as well! I need a special brush for that but maybe i can improvise for a while until I get it. The list of brushes that Make Up For Ever provided for us in this course is in my entry of my Day 2 of Class.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S3IPLpl89TM/ULEOKoWoMGI/AAAAAAAADB4/nIA14fRO_xg/s1600/P1070291.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-S3IPLpl89TM/ULEOKoWoMGI/AAAAAAAADB4/nIA14fRO_xg/s640/P1070291.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This was Miss Yuki's peg for the day. She tapped on me to her her model!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lxloymLl3KM/ULEOQLT0HbI/AAAAAAAADCA/qqUcjqwFq6M/s1600/P1070292.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lxloymLl3KM/ULEOQLT0HbI/AAAAAAAADCA/qqUcjqwFq6M/s640/P1070292.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Me before everything else was applied. Like the previous day, Miss Yuki asked us to apply the foundation base that she taught us on our first day while waiting for everyone to arrive.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OZ00P8LcL9o/ULEOUwKHN9I/AAAAAAAADCI/_mW7Jy5BvFE/s1600/P1070297.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OZ00P8LcL9o/ULEOUwKHN9I/AAAAAAAADCI/_mW7Jy5BvFE/s640/P1070297.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Her teaching us how to put on the Avant Garde Haute Couture look. I didn't want to be the model, because you really don't see how she puts everything! I could only look at it when she was done, unlike if she was doing someone else, where you could really see her brush strokes and everything.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_97wFcXYVDI/ULEOfhcc6XI/AAAAAAAADCk/RczZlD_ow7E/s1600/P1070317.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_97wFcXYVDI/ULEOfhcc6XI/AAAAAAAADCk/RczZlD_ow7E/s640/P1070317.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
The finished product! I tried my best to match up both eyes, but huhu it was so difficult! I did the right side of my face in the photo and Miss Yuki did the left.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IyO6W8g6Of8/ULEOa1fGVhI/AAAAAAAADCc/VIXRuxhs97k/s1600/P1070314.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IyO6W8g6Of8/ULEOa1fGVhI/AAAAAAAADCc/VIXRuxhs97k/s640/P1070314.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After she did my eyes, I asked her how to contour ny nose. apparently it's not part of the curriculum of the holiday course, because she only taught me how to after I asked. I don't think I can make a list on how to do it like I did for the previous days :( It's too hard to describe! I'll explain it in another entry. ;)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RftrfOPrH7Q/ULEOWHeKZJI/AAAAAAAADCM/55h49q83UIU/s1600/P1070306.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RftrfOPrH7Q/ULEOWHeKZJI/AAAAAAAADCM/55h49q83UIU/s640/P1070306.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
Closeup of my eye! This is how Miss Yuki taught us to do it:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Put a cream primer all over the lid.</li>
<li>Put three shades of eyeshadow on your lid, up to where your crease would be. Miss Yuki picked three totally different shades, but make sure that the darkest is on the outer corner of the eye, and the on on top of the inner corner is a lighter shade, if not the lightest.</li>
<li>Put star powder of the same shade of each eyeshadow over it. This makes the colors pop out even more.</li>
<li>Blend the area where the colors meet together.</li>
<li>Put a dark color of eyeliner on the bottom of the eye, again going all the way to the inner corner. Put the same color of eyeshadow on top to blend and smudge it, so it doesn't look so harsh.</li>
<li>Apply a different color of eyeliner on the top. Miss Yuki used a violet on me.</li>
<li>Apply the diamond powder all over the lid, on top of the shadows and in the corner of the eye. I personally didn't like this though, it kinda made my eyes look tacky.</li>
<li>Apply mascara, Miss Yuki used a violet on me as well.</li>
<li>Apply the false eyelashes, then paint these over with mascara to match my natural eyelashes.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3TE3Pg7MNtc/ULEOpNl3D7I/AAAAAAAADC0/sOZZJNn2wx4/s1600/P1070324.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3TE3Pg7MNtc/ULEOpNl3D7I/AAAAAAAADC0/sOZZJNn2wx4/s640/P1070324.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Another photo of me that shows the classroom behind me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Now to show you some of my classmates' work! My classmate, Carla with her rocker choice of color combination.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another classmate who matched her colors with her outfit. This is cute too!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yCbHgwlyRVg/ULGVvH9ikqI/AAAAAAAADDo/2bRBetBau8c/s1600/P1070315.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yCbHgwlyRVg/ULGVvH9ikqI/AAAAAAAADDo/2bRBetBau8c/s640/P1070315.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
They were so cute, they surprised us with printouts because both our birthdays were that week! Miss Yuki's birthday is the day before mine. :)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Me receiving my certificate! I only got this course as a deal on Dealgrocer, and I'm so happy I waited for it! I learned exactly what I joined for, and many more! at 4995 Php, it was definitely worth it.</div>

After a pretty long vacation abroad, my parents finally came back! My sister and I treated them to high tea at Da.u.de.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dpG6rJH3aEQ/ULDsPEavtvI/AAAAAAAAC7U/Ujvmn4iXeE8/s1600/P1070178.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dpG6rJH3aEQ/ULDsPEavtvI/AAAAAAAAC7U/Ujvmn4iXeE8/s640/P1070178.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is how they serve their tea. It comes in a unique strainer that you push down to release the liquid into the cup.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oxvIWEaRnnE/ULDsUnsclFI/AAAAAAAAC7c/E2W5b7WwLhI/s1600/P1070181.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oxvIWEaRnnE/ULDsUnsclFI/AAAAAAAAC7c/E2W5b7WwLhI/s640/P1070181.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I got the Pink Chai tea which was absolutely lovely. It had a fragrant taste that I like, aside from the fruity teas. My sister and mommy got the Earl Grey, which they found too strong, even with their milk and sugar.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RLxiZQlCSmU/ULDsX6agHgI/AAAAAAAAC7k/QlFa9IOx1GQ/s1600/P1070182.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RLxiZQlCSmU/ULDsX6agHgI/AAAAAAAAC7k/QlFa9IOx1GQ/s640/P1070182.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
This was the first set, which was the regular one. You get all this for Php 1400.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gtp7A-5Hqkg/ULDsb4PqHuI/AAAAAAAAC7s/u8JWAUhM6UM/s1600/P1070183.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Gtp7A-5Hqkg/ULDsb4PqHuI/AAAAAAAAC7s/u8JWAUhM6UM/s640/P1070183.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And we also got a vegetarian set. This was also Php 1400.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CBE71Ytc3s8/ULDsfZLqmII/AAAAAAAAC70/USglyLlV97U/s1600/P1070187.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CBE71Ytc3s8/ULDsfZLqmII/AAAAAAAAC70/USglyLlV97U/s640/P1070187.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The first tier on both trays held three madeline cookies and two chocolate chip scones with jam and clotted cream. The cookies were nothing great, also because I find madelines dry. The scones were good though and my sister liked these the best.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KL6Nf6HVXiU/ULDsiyKCYkI/AAAAAAAAC78/1fy-r3HQVO4/s1600/P1070188.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KL6Nf6HVXiU/ULDsiyKCYkI/AAAAAAAAC78/1fy-r3HQVO4/s640/P1070188.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For my Dad and I, these were the champion! On the second tier of the regular tea set were little open faced Bahn Mi! I think that this is a Vietnamese dish. Crunchy pork and vegetables on crunchy toast, yum!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5OJKAGCpfZ4/ULDsrJQEHJI/AAAAAAAAC8M/2j8KyuLQYb8/s1600/P1070191.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5OJKAGCpfZ4/ULDsrJQEHJI/AAAAAAAAC8M/2j8KyuLQYb8/s640/P1070191.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On the second tier of the vegetarian set were three Penne Arrabiatas and one roasted vegetable open faced sandwich. The Arrabiata was alright, but my family found it a little too spicy. The vegetable sandwich was on the less exciting side as well.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TYRXENQVvWo/ULDsnrVXJGI/AAAAAAAAC8E/G6VjwqlbT3o/s1600/P1070189.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TYRXENQVvWo/ULDsnrVXJGI/AAAAAAAAC8E/G6VjwqlbT3o/s640/P1070189.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
On the third tier is some Apfel Strudel, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, two mini macarons and Tea Brulee. After reading the menu on the Munchpunch website, GRRR you have a choice of either Tea Brulee of Chocolate Pudding! I wish the server gave us that option, because none of us liked the Tea Brulee. The Apfel Strudel was really good though, especially with the caramel syrup. Mmmm!<br />

<br />
I wanted to try more macarons, so we ordered a set of two for Php 80. These are Rose and Mango. I didn't enjoy these too much because they're smaller than normal macarons, so they were pretty crunchy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pBCYUgLUo2Y/ULDszmOTZdI/AAAAAAAAC8c/zfe_jEh9wVM/s1600/P1070193.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pBCYUgLUo2Y/ULDszmOTZdI/AAAAAAAAC8c/zfe_jEh9wVM/s640/P1070193.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My sister was still hungry so we ordered a Mushroom and Mascarpone pasta for 390 Php. I was craving for this for the longest time! Was very happy with it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V31Pqq5-pWM/ULDs3ijt3_I/AAAAAAAAC8o/2P5Uquxjjt4/s1600/P1070194.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V31Pqq5-pWM/ULDs3ijt3_I/AAAAAAAAC8o/2P5Uquxjjt4/s640/P1070194.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A good afternoon spent with my family. Even though I only liked about half of the stuff that was served to us, at least it was my money that was spent! And at least I finally got that itch out of my system. I'd been wanting to have tea here since it opened.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So overall, Da.u.de is still one of my favorite places in the metro. With all the other high tea places out there (TWG, Peninsula's buffet and the Shangri-la Makati Lobby to name a few) I wouldn't go to this one. I'd rather go for dinner and drinks with friends.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
These were the Make Up For Ever brushes that were lent to me for the classes!<br />
From L-R:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Eyeliner brush</li>
<li>Concealer brush</li>
<li>Lipstick brush</li>
<li>Foundation brush</li>
<li>Eyeshadow brush (firm) - for putting on base colors evenly on the lids.</li>
<li>Eyebrow brush - for blending around the eyebrow pencil.</li>
<li>Contouring brush, mostly for the nose</li>
<li>BULLET BRUSH - the most important tool that I had for those 3 days! It really puts shadow only where you want it, and blends really amazingly too! I cannot stress how much I love this tool.</li>
<li>Contouring brush</li>
<li>Blush brush </li>
<li>Loose powder brush. </li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So like the first day, Miss Yuki tapped on one of the girls and demonstrated how to put on makeup on one side of her face. While waiting for all the other students to come, Miss Yuki told us to put on our foundation bases so that after her demo, we can go straight to the eyes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jSpN250fy08/ULEKLjwjAUI/AAAAAAAADAw/UgeHZCsKVQA/s1600/P1070251.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jSpN250fy08/ULEKLjwjAUI/AAAAAAAADAw/UgeHZCsKVQA/s640/P1070251.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>

<br />
These were my notes on how to do the eyes:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Apply a light base color on your whole lid up to the brow bone. It's up to you on which one you want to use, but Miss Yuki recommended a light shimmer base.</li>
<li>Apply a darker shade on the crease, again following the end of your eyeball, just around your eye socket. Be careful not to go past the outer corner of your eye, or else it'll look like dirt!</li>
<li>Apply Another shade of eyebrow in both the other corner and inner corner of the eye, making a tiny triangle.</li>
<li>Put star powder in a light shade in the middle of your lid, and blend everything in. This is important because it really brightens the eye! I thought it would come out tacky but it really enhanced my eyes.</li>
<li>Apply a pencil liner on your bottom lid, all the way. I actually made a mistake here :( I didn't listen to Miss Yuki, and I applied a grey instead of a brown. Everyone noticed that it was too dark!</li>
<li>Apply eyeshadow over the liner that you just put, so that it blends in. This was the first time I ever learned this technique, and I'm glad I did because I love it! Really makes a difference.</li>
<li>Apply a darker shade of eyeliner on the top lid.</li>
<li>Apply mascara to the lashes.</li>
<li>Apply star powder to the corner of the eyes. This really brightens them up!</li>
</ol>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mjbY-Vj19JA/ULEKYahbxwI/AAAAAAAADBQ/pBao0f_BPCQ/s1600/P1070262.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mjbY-Vj19JA/ULEKYahbxwI/AAAAAAAADBQ/pBao0f_BPCQ/s640/P1070262.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I changed the shade of my lipstick to a berry shade because I was going to class in the afternoon. Like my ear cuff? It's from my friend <a href="https://www.facebook.com/HermanasOnlineShop?fref=ts" target="_blank">Arya's shop, Hermanas Online Shop.</a> :D She has a lot of super cute and quirky finds, like a unicorn jumping through the ear! Hehe. Check it out!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm glad I waited for the right class, because I learned so much and met so many awesome people! This is our instructor, Miss Yuki. She was really nice and made sure to answer all of my questions! I think that teaching how to put on makeup is really her calling. She has a gift for it :)</div>

I'd been eyeing the makeup deals on Dealgrocer and even bought a Shu Uemura workshop in the past, but I didn't end up taking it because I felt that it wasn't what I wanted for myself. I'm glad I sold it at the last minute, because I was able to get an even better one!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>The front of the classroom, with all the Make Up For Ever tester products that we were able to use for the next 3 days. This was a special course that Maquillage Professional made for Dealgrocer, which was going to teach us 3 dramatic looks especially for the holiday season: Holiday Glam, Red Carpet and Avant Garde.<br />
<br />
Day 1 was the "Holiday Glam" look, which really taught us how to play with eyeliner as the main feature for this look. It's a versatile look that was made for using during holiday gatherings and celebrations at night, but one can easily tone it down for an every day look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aTY7WNJoNkE/ULD-TlTsJyI/AAAAAAAAC-8/bjPwD0IhB_k/s1600/P1070199.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="532" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aTY7WNJoNkE/ULD-TlTsJyI/AAAAAAAAC-8/bjPwD0IhB_k/s640/P1070199.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The way it worked was that our instructor, Miss Yuki would demonstrate how to put on the look on one of the students, but only on half of the face. Everyone would have to copy it, and the model has to copy it on the other side of her face.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The finished model, Carla! Isn't she beautiful? She has a blog, you can check it out<a href="http://www.justplayingdressup.com/" target="_blank"> here.</a><br />

<br />
About to start! This is me when I came to the class, with just my usual bb cream and lipstick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nepLBFH-prg/ULD-bKAHeJI/AAAAAAAAC_M/24kFSm7iYbs/s1600/P1070207+copy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nepLBFH-prg/ULD-bKAHeJI/AAAAAAAAC_M/24kFSm7iYbs/s640/P1070207+copy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the concealer that I used. Who would have thought that if you wanted to put on full makeup, foundation isn't the only thing? By the way, like my nail polish? I blogged about it <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/2012/11/nicole-by-opi-kardashian-kolors-kendall.html" target="_blank">here</a> :D<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_cxo4q4tBI/ULD-feHuJyI/AAAAAAAAC_U/O_K8Fk5_PGw/s1600/P1070210.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_cxo4q4tBI/ULD-feHuJyI/AAAAAAAAC_U/O_K8Fk5_PGw/s640/P1070210.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
This was me with all of my foundation on, as taught by my instructor, Miss Yuki! Here are the things that need to be done to achieve this flawless look, according to her:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Your daily skincare and moisturizer, if you have any</li>
<li>Colorless primer, before you put anything on!</li>
<li>Liquid foundation. Miss Yuki said that liquid is better than powder because it really fills in every wrinkle, nook and cranny in your skin as well as blends with your skin as opposed to sitting on top of it, like powder foundation does.</li>
<li>Concealer under the eyes and on top of blemishes that weren't already covered by the foundation.</li>
<li>A loose powder applied with a big fat brush,</li>
<li>And finally, just run that same brush all over your face to set everything that you had put on.</li>
</ol>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FWaJlmJYGkM/ULD-qfWtb6I/AAAAAAAAC_w/9A5yM6NgbGI/s1600/P1070220.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FWaJlmJYGkM/ULD-qfWtb6I/AAAAAAAAC_w/9A5yM6NgbGI/s640/P1070220.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And this is me with all the makeup on! For the cheeks:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ol>
<li>A dark highlighter that goes in the hollow part right beside your ear and under the cheek bone. It should only be applied until the end of your the corner of your eye, if not it'll just look like dirt on the side of your face. Hehe!</li>
<li>the lighter highlighter that should be applied on the top and bottom of the dark highlighter.</li>
<li>Blush on top of this all, on the apples of your cheeks. Smile so that you'll find them!</li>
<li>Pearl highlighter in between the eyes and blush. That's what adds the dewy, shimmery glow! I love it so much actually, I gotta get myself some of that product.</li>
</ol>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F8RXbwZV_Tw/ULD-jRSd7lI/AAAAAAAAC_c/Zdj_JJOot8s/s1600/P1070216.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F8RXbwZV_Tw/ULD-jRSd7lI/AAAAAAAAC_c/Zdj_JJOot8s/s640/P1070216.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And as for my eyes:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>A cream eyeshadow primer from the lids all the way to the bottom of the brow bone.</li>
<li>A lighter base eyeshadow color all over that as well.</li>
<li>Eyeshadow on the crease!</li>
</ol>
<div>
We will take a break from the list because I will talk a little about this. Did you know that instead of applying it on top of your actual eye crease, it is supposed to be applied on the line where your eyeball ends? I guess you can call it right on the rims of your eye socket. Who would have thought! Miss Yuki told us that if you follow your natural crease, chances are it won't be even because creases aren't permanent. What's also important is the brush! Make Up For Ever had this bullet brush which was so so important in the precise application along the crease as well as for blending! I loved it, and was lucky enough to have gotten one for my birthday!<br />
<br />
4. Put a little more eyeshadow on the corner of the eye<br />
5. Just blend everything upward and around. </div>
<br />

<br />
Miss Yuki also taught us the proper way of winging the eyeliner. Practice makes perfect! Finish off with lipstick and mascara. The lipstick is actually what makes this look either for formal events or just an everyday look. If you want an everyday look, just use a cute pink color, like the one I used here. If you want a more formal look, go for a deep red or burgundy and the eyes will just follow it!<br />

My friend CC took the class with me. This is us with our makeup over lunch at Just Thai, which was in the area. Don't go there, it was terrible. Hehe!<br />

Isn't that so sweet of her? :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My super yummy plate! I must admit that it wasn't my only plate though. Hehe! I had a plate on the side of kimchi rice that Teeff's mommy made to go along with her roast. Chef Jessie's catered the turkey with all the sidings, stuffing and salad. Clockwise from the greens: Green salad with balsamic dressing, Roast beef, Creamed corn and spinach with baby onions, sweet potato, turkey with gravy and stuffing. Yum!</div>
<div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Us at the table. I love my girls!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And us at the Christmas tree. Daryl was in a Topshop number that she looked great in, Teeff was in a Nicole Miller and I got my dress from Frou frou. :D I actually won it from <a href="http://www.vernenciso.com/" target="_blank">Vern Enciso's</a> blog Giveaway with them!<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had just come from school, so I brightened up my tired face with some lipstick and false eyelashes, nothing else! Maybe that's why my face looks dewy HAHA. Also, that day was a milestone for me because I finally completed my personal challenge of wearing my necklace from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/QwinAccessories?fref=ts" target="_blank">Qwin Accessories! </a>Even though they're totally different, doesn't it add a little oomph to my outfit? :) My bangle is a really old one from Old Navy. I'm actually looking for a replacement because I want to retire or at least rotate this one!</div>

So my birthday was last November 22, and one of my presents was the Etude House ombre nail polish! I'd always been wanting to try this but never got around to. So yay, I finally got one!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-B1i_9lhWUhY/ULDdLNrCdGI/AAAAAAAAC4k/9bY8A1VZMCw/s1600/P1070373.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-B1i_9lhWUhY/ULDdLNrCdGI/AAAAAAAAC4k/9bY8A1VZMCw/s640/P1070373.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a>At first I hated the shade on me, but really it grows on you! And uh oh, I think I sense a craze coming along. It's so cute, I want all the other colors! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mj1AAl8hBZI/ULDcmqh1AxI/AAAAAAAAC3g/RzRezFC3BrY/s1600/P1070137.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mj1AAl8hBZI/ULDcmqh1AxI/AAAAAAAAC3g/RzRezFC3BrY/s640/P1070137.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The little box that it comes in. Makes a cute gift, hey?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vuutSZY6x44/ULDcpx2Wu5I/AAAAAAAAC3o/opdkidPAzrs/s1600/P1070367.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vuutSZY6x44/ULDcpx2Wu5I/AAAAAAAAC3o/opdkidPAzrs/s640/P1070367.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
The back with instructions (in Korean...) but I still learned anyway :) It's pretty obvious as to what you're supposed to do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BF-oH_W2Dds/ULDctLGk82I/AAAAAAAAC3w/0h_A9i1Moc0/s1600/P1070368.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BF-oH_W2Dds/ULDctLGk82I/AAAAAAAAC3w/0h_A9i1Moc0/s640/P1070368.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<br />
And the polishes! They're so tiny, but I don't think I'll finish them anytime soon. I've never finished a bottle of polish actually! I don't thin my polish because I believe it ruins the chemical composition.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DsC_xyha07I/ULDcx1YDwPI/AAAAAAAAC34/X-nvc-oW2Og/s1600/P1070370.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DsC_xyha07I/ULDcx1YDwPI/AAAAAAAAC34/X-nvc-oW2Og/s640/P1070370.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the base, Soft Orange. Two coats in and it still wasn't opaque! I didn't worry though because I was going to layer more coats on with the other shades.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fE8MLXDKreE/ULDczo73ihI/AAAAAAAAC4A/SE5Q7-SyruI/s1600/P1070372.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fE8MLXDKreE/ULDczo73ihI/AAAAAAAAC4A/SE5Q7-SyruI/s640/P1070372.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
With the second coat, Sweet Orange. This barely had any color, it was almost a flakie but in regular circular shapes. Pretty and very unique. I painted it halfway through the nail like I do with the second coat of my <a href="http://prettysplendid.blogspot.com/search/label/glitter%20french%20tips" target="_blank">glitter french tips. </a>Click the link to check out my previous nail tutorials about that, also in this blog.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-05YXDqK19VU/ULDc7jpH2aI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/UJC4KFPV5A8/s1600/P1070377.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="488" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-05YXDqK19VU/ULDc7jpH2aI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/UJC4KFPV5A8/s640/P1070377.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And with the last shade! Like my knuckle ring? :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RBx5fDix41U/ULDc4Aco92I/AAAAAAAAC4I/MTeKtJ64f1k/s1600/P1070376.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RBx5fDix41U/ULDc4Aco92I/AAAAAAAAC4I/MTeKtJ64f1k/s640/P1070376.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I normally wear my bunny ring on my pinkie, but I had a difficult time showing it in pictures so I decided to put it on my knuckle. Ring is from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hissbliss.fashion.official?fref=ts" target="_blank">Hissbliss Fashion!</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z5Iztoqg1LY/ULDdAZ4t82I/AAAAAAAAC4Y/SruokdcQEk0/s1600/P1070378.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z5Iztoqg1LY/ULDdAZ4t82I/AAAAAAAAC4Y/SruokdcQEk0/s640/P1070378.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The third coat, Fresh Orange really gives this polish the big bang. Again, I'm so glad I really got to try this polish! Dreaming of all the other colors now. What to try next?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dEwfkCMtLi4/ULDm6xivfGI/AAAAAAAAC58/Jrw7p9TIxx0/s1600/%255BEtudeHouse%255D%2520Juicy%2520Cocktail%2520Gradation%2520Nails%25201.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dEwfkCMtLi4/ULDm6xivfGI/AAAAAAAAC58/Jrw7p9TIxx0/s640/%255BEtudeHouse%255D%2520Juicy%2520Cocktail%2520Gradation%2520Nails%25201.jpeg" width="598" /></a></div>

The Christmas season is here, which means a very happy tummy for all of us! Mine is already so happy, a little too happy actually. HAHA a week ago was my <i>ninong's</i> birthday! His husband, T was sweet enough to blow us out with a dinner catered by Cibo di M!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<a name='more'></a>The main attraction of the night which was not really the main attraction, because we had so much food! I prayed to God that I would have enough space for everything, which I surprisingly did. Hehe!<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first of the pass-arounds that I tried: <i>chicharon </i>curls<i> </i>with garlic mousse and topped with adobo flakes. Deadly but wow, so good!</div>
<div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Apple, squash blossom and oyster mushroom florettes with a cream sauce. The sauce didn't taste like anything so I didn't really dip it in. My sister loved these, but after one squash blossom I decided to move on to the next appetizer. </div>

</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A good old Cibo classic: spinach gorgonzola dip with crostini rounds. How can anyone go wrong with this?? I don't know for sure, but to me it was a little saltier than the one served at Cibo.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Barquillos stumps filled with a mousse, and topped with salmon roe and parma crisps. I really liked the parma ones, but only had one because look up ahead!</div>

MY FAVORITE OF THE NIGHT: spaghettini alla checca! I LOVE a good olive oil pasta, and this one had all of my hopes and dreams in it! Al dente pasta, chunks of cheese and slivers of tomato! My mouth is watering just looking at the photo. Oh checca, when will I have you again?</div>

<br />
More bread on the table! This one looked less filling so I nibbled on one of these as I took my pasta.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iGiw_nfMuZk/UKkmAyM5i9I/AAAAAAAAC1E/UFlMCQc_sIE/s1600/P1070133.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iGiw_nfMuZk/UKkmAyM5i9I/AAAAAAAAC1E/UFlMCQc_sIE/s640/P1070133.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
As soon as I sat down, a server came up to me and offered me some white truffle! He shaved some and put it on top of my white pasta.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tJvy5yQkH2I/UKkmDGqJf0I/AAAAAAAAC1M/VMcAjsVwQ7A/s1600/P1070134.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tJvy5yQkH2I/UKkmDGqJf0I/AAAAAAAAC1M/VMcAjsVwQ7A/s640/P1070134.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My plate from the upper left corner, going clockwise: Lamb with mint jelly, spaghettini alla checca, chips, beer battered fish, white truffle pasta, crostini rounds with spinach and gorgonzola dip. Did you notice that my pasta is so perfectly shaped? No, I did not serve myself that way! Haha a server was there to put it on our plates. <span style="text-align: center;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
And the dessert table, c/o T! Clockwise again from the upper left corner: coffee cake from Goldilocks, Strawberry Charlotte, a plate of assorted cakes (do you see the crepe cake? My favorite!) and turtle pie.<br />
<br />
So yummy, 'til the next entry!<br />
